LITERATURE BEYOND THE SKIN: A STUDY ABOUT RACISM IN BRAZIL
Abstract
This article aims to analyse the theme of police violence in the work “O avesso da pele”, by Jeferson Tenório. Initially, the exploration of interdisciplinarity between the branches of literature and law will be carried out, understanding the support points that one field can find in the other and then understanding how the ideological bridge made should be analysed. Then, through a bibliographic review, conceptual notions about race and racism are explored that can help in the understanding of the analysed literary material. Finally, the last part of the book is used as support to understand how police violence occurs in Brazil and how racial issues are closely linked to it.
