Abstract

This study, of a broadly scientific nature, aims to establish an appreciation of the literary work "Dangerous Game," written by Friedrich Dürrenmatt in 1956, leveraging the unique perspectives articulated by Becker in his seminal work, "Outsiders," wherein he introduces the concept of the Labeling Approach. According to this perspective, individuals may find themselves excessively stigmatized due to certain traits interpreted by the prevailing social order as inadequate, within a highly intricate system of labeling that overtly considers discriminatory parameters. This pervasive influence inadvertently leads such individuals to engage in behaviors categorized as criminal, succumbing to the immense social pressure perpetually bearing down upon them. It is noted that within the narrative experienced by the character Alfredo Traps, a somewhat analogous situation unfolds, as he confronts an unwarranted accusation. Despite unfolding within the context of a judicial dynamic, the involved parties treat his case with undue seriousness, subjecting him to consequences as if he were culpable of the alleged crime.
