HISTÓRIAS EM QUADRINHOS COMO LINGUAGEM DESCONSTRUTORA E O TESTEMUNHO DE UMA MULHER DE CONFORTO, EM GRAMA
Abstract
ABSTRACT: Starting from theoretical discussions about the definition of Grafic Novel as a historical source and the possible approximations with the understanding of what a 'text' is, in the scope of deconstruction, from Jacques Derrida, this article presents a reading of the work Grama, História em Quadrinhos (HQ), originally published in 2019, written and drawn by Keum Suk Gendry-Kim to narrate the trauma of countless women in World War II, based on the testimony of a Korean citizen kidnapped by the Imperial Japanese Army to serve as a woman of comfort. The purpose of this article, located within the scope of research in Law and Literature, is to show how the language of Grafic Novel, in the game of references between graphic and pictorial elements, in addition to the other aesthetic resources incident to the page, allows to supplement the testimonial silence of the that cannot be said in words, opening ways to think about other ways of constructing meanings.
